In this audio-described film, Men! Dancing! gather on a deserted beach to explore what it is to be human.
Inspired by Tennyson's poem of the same title, this film looks at life's beginning, with the creation and formation of cells, organs and consciousness, to the inevitability of our own mortality.

National Youth Dance Company perform MADHEAD (2019) | Excerpt
Saw the show in Boston in 2023. I have never been at a show where all the people literally leapt from their seats before the end to applaud and celebrate the performance. It's interesting to hear how the message that was intended by the show was exactly what was received and so beautifully expressed!
I adore her, no dancer like her. She IS the music and movement.💓💓💓
I admit I’m a bit slow when it comes to poetry (apologies to Mr Tennyson!), but add a haunting Choral arrangement & Men! Dancing! & I’m totally on board!!! I’m actually preparing Funeral music sing for one of our church friends next week, so this just started me weeping! The Music Arrangement & Choir sound Gorgeous! Congrats to All Involved!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good stuff! Love the cactus juggling!
back then the Prince of Kabuki, now he is the King
Thank you for sharing your journey.
When I qas younger I was trained RAD but the studio Im at now is Balanchine trained and it was a big difference for me. I'm still trying to break old habits from how I was previously trained and tey to convert to the Balanchine style.
❤
I love it and it is connected with so many memories and eye opening moments. It changed my life and my way of understanding art of any kind! Who ever made this video - my deepest respect and thanks. ♥
why does ALL interpretive art include sweaty feet?
I guess it worked out with Roman since they figuratively got married first, then started dating. Not like the other one. 😂😂😂😂😂 Look at that, Tiler!! You snagged a straight one!!!!
<3
Would love to hear more…
Merveilleux, extraordinaire leur énergie est communicative ! Hors du temps et dans le temps ! Admirable
I saw this show live and it was absolutely the most breathtaking thing I’ve ever seen. I cried and gasped and applauded so hard my hands hurt. I watch it frequently on PBS and sob not just from the story but because of the sheer talent involved in every aspect of the show. I have seen a LOT of live theatre and this is the best of the best.
I saw it twice in DC. The best thing I've seen in dance ever! As always, the music is amazing.
Beautiful
I can try
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ohhh bless Paco Pena, he used to come to Melbourne in spring. I remember being in the front row and I could have reached out and touched Raul as he danced! Paco Pena is a wise, patient gentle soul. At the ABC bookshop he signed my cd. I expressed my frustration and curiosity not knowing what the songs were about and him telling me I didn't need to know literally to 'enjoy, or emphasise' with the music, it goes right through you into your soul. This is so true. Alas, I haven't learnt Spanish after all these years. When you look at lyrics translated, they seem to be a bunch of disjointed stories at times, often dark, like some ones heart felt ripped out, buried in the ground and stomped on by their former lover 😂, so the poetry is so expressive, as is every part of the music from the guitarists, singers, dancers, percussionists. Thank you so much Paco Pena for all the joy you have given. Vale Rual. May the next generation of flamencas keep finding their unique way through to expression. Paco Pena blessings always 🐨❤🕊 My dear long suffering flamenco teachers, who didn't give up on me, whether through dance or playing the cajon, bless you all ❤❤❤
So glad this resonates with you!
🎉🎉🎉
So wonderful ❤️
He was from Georgia. Not Russia.
Should be more explosive on the bass beats
Una verdadera estrella, te amamos
Beautifully done
❤

I really appreciate this. I wish dance schools taught the way you are teaching...I notice many just tell you to do steps but don't spend enough time guiding you through movements or foundational pieces so you can feel yourself and really understand the basis of movements... Do you know where I can learn more of what you are teaching? I am in Australia! :)
Thank you so much for this comment, we're so glad to hear how much you appreciated this Taster Dance Workshop. You can access all of our other workshops here: www.sadlerswells.com/take-part/online-workshops/taster-dance-workshops/
Excellent technique and embodiment skills! What are the tracks used please??
The “I can’t today but I will can tomorrow” actually was exactly what I needed. Thank you Natalia, you’re so inspiring and the greatest dancer I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t have thought you were shy, after watching you dance, enjoying yourself so expressively or acting just amazing. But I understand it. I criticize myself the worst. If any celebrity deserves the place on my phone-Lock Screen, it’s definitely you (I hope that doesn’t sound weird 😅). Hope I’ll once get the chance to see you life on stage ❤️
❤❤❤
thank you!
This guy apart from genius is unstoppable, and brilliant, but humanity at and as a center of influences and inspiration above any dance quotes or schools or style he prefers
When are they coming back!?! 😭
Me encanta puedo verla mil veces que me transporta a un mundo irreal o real al mismo tiempo
Oh I love it! Emotive, carnal! I say anyone who doesn’t like it is afraid of their animal nature. I have watched on repeat and returned days later. Splendid! Delicious!
Beautiful, thanks
Beautiful. Thank you ❤
Wow why their masturbatory touchy ,feely way with parts of 50 shades of grey mixed together?. Remember is knights dancing as a group on a girls birthday , not club nasty.
The fuck is this
Beautiful ❤
congratulations to all production❤ For our mothers, continue to be an inspiration for all the entire planet. Phenomenal
Agua!
TIEF mit GAIST danke viel MaraK
Mmm... I think no. I think this lacks of the elegance that is needed too in this piece. It is dark, and that's there, but I think it has a too superficial body expression that make the piece look somewhat childish. Sorry if it's too confusing. It's hard to express something which is not of your domain and not in your first language.
Different than other famous flamenco guitarists, famous guitarist Paco Pena can speak good english and this is his big advantage !
💕💕
Nice! ❤
I believe Sting is telling the truth here. Something about interpretive dance adding to the lyrics of songs. I agree. I went into a big interpretative dance phase and many community dance events involving Sting music like 'They Dance Alone'. I lived it!!!!. With some artsy folk from Santa Monica California, in Cottage Grove and Eugene Oregon
